Current state of game.

  • Variety of weapons with different fire modes.
  • Can zoom for some of them.
  • Max ammo, reload, max reserved ammo, and can pic up more ammo.

Yesterday i was able to create a weapon swap system that could switch between an unarmed mode, Melee mode. Primary weapon, secondary weapon, and heavy weapon. Also created a universal fire-arme scripte that can change a guns fire mode based on an integer. 1 is non-auto, 2 is, auto, and 3 is spread, altho spread right now is broken.


Being able to pickup ammo from a create and add it to a reserved ammo count is also now a thing, how ever attempting to pick up ammo for a weapon you do not have will cause erors as shown hear when i try to pic up shotgun ammo with the mini-gun out.iu_75125_7639762.jpg

Now have an ammo counter with a max ammo loaded into the gun, and the gun will stop firing once empty. Along with this there is a reserved ammo counter used to keep a set amount of ammo for reloading, and this will soon be replenish-able by picking up an ammo creates.

Bullets and the zoom now work. I have added two other weapons to test different fire modes. A mini-gun for automatic and a shotgun for spread. Next will be a set number of amo loaded into the gun, a maximum amount of reserve amo, and reloading, along with the ability to replace a weapon by picking up another.iu_71954_7639762.jpg

Wile using unity's fps controller as a placeholder I have created a sword and a gun that can be swapped between each other. Unfortunately the guns bullets don't want to do damage and the zoom is not working. Along with this the sword is now getting stuck in unwanted positions after an attempt to change the button from Z to the left mouse.

   Idea 3 is an open world first person multiplayer game, where the player is a heavily customizable cyborg. The game is open world and features a destructible environment that can be explored or destroyed with highly customizable vehicles and weapons.

Gameplay

  • Earn credits to buy upgrades for the player, buy and mod vehicles, buy and mod weapons, or buy and decorate player safe houses.
  • Story, Co-op, and competitive missions.

Narrative

  • The game takes place in the year 2076. Cybernetics have been mostly perfected to replace lost or damaged body parts and organs. However some willingly replace parts of their body with cybernetics and have even made the leap to completely convert their body, making them more powerful then a normal human. Criminals who have gone threw with the full conversion will often have have illegal augmentations such as concealed weapons or stolen military grade frames. This has become a problem for regular law enforcement and they now rely on bounty hunters to deal with them.
  • In the main campaign you play as one of these bounty hunters that has already gone threw the full conversion into a cyborg, as they complete a series of missions that unfortunately get them wrapped up in a massive conspiracy that threatens the existence of all cyborgs.
  • In the multiplayer you start off as your own character who is a regular human just starting the bounty hunting business. As you level up and expand your wealth you will gain access to more skills, weapons, vehicles, safe houses, cosmetics, mods, and of course cybernetics. You can even go full conversion yourself if you want to.

iu_66971_7639762.jpgIdea 1 is a multiplayer team based arena game, where 2-4 teams of up to seven players battle in a randomly generated labyrinth. Players will be able to select one of three characters from seven different classes, each with a variety of stats and abilities to use.


Idea 2 is a ship based multiplayer game where at the start of the game players get a set number of points to invest into three attributes. Each attribute will affect a different stat such as hit points or damage. They will also be able to choose one ability at the start of the game.

Progress of Idea 1 is not great. I have been able to add a script for the walls so when its HP reaches 0 it will be destroyed, added some orbs that will randomly spawn on the map to replenish a players stats, and setup the buttons for attacks and abilitiesiu_60511_7639762.jpg. However getting the player to do damage to the test wall or the dummy player has constantly resulted in errors

Idea 3 for Senior Game Prototyping


Once again I have failed to mack a game prototype in Unity that works. I attempted to make a simple boss fight, but tomany things went wrong.


If I do continue this idea hear is what needs to get done.

  • Make proper an arena to fight the boss in.
  • If the player enters this arena or gets within a certain distance of the boss, this will start the fight.
  • Have the boss deal damage to the player.
  • Have bullets shot by the player deal damage equal to the amount of the weapon they are fired from.
